Introduction to OysterPearl (PRL)

Introduction

DAG (directed acyclic graph) is a new and exciting technology that has the power to disrupt the blockchain industry and improve efficiency. We’ve seen how IOTA and XRB can provide quick, feeless transactions. We’re just getting started on protocols built on top of DAG. OysterPearl is a low marketcap hidden gem that combines DAG technology of the IOTA Tangle and the smart contract technology of the Ethereum blockchain.

Brief Summary of OysterPearl

Oyster allows website visitors to contribute a portion of their CPU and GPU power to enable users’ files to be stored on a decentralized and anonymous ledger. In return, such users indirectly pay the website owners for maintaining the storage of their data. These files are stored on the IOTA Tangle. Nodes running the Oyster Protocol perform PoW to guarantee that the Tangle retains the data. The smart contract technology of the Ethereum Blockchain is used to produce the PRL token, therefore activating the unique token attributes that enables Oyster operation.

Team and Roadmap

The core team consists of 3 developers with experience in programming and building networks. This project started in 2015 and held a crowdsale in October 2017. The testnet will be released early 2018 and the Mainnet will be released in Q2 2018. More information on the core developers and the roadmap can be found on the project website.

Current Valuation

OysterPeal has a circulating supply of 31,823,026 PRL and a current price of $0.52/PRL, giving it a marketcap of $16.7mm. It currently sits at rank 356 on CoinMarketCap.
